DESCRIPTION:Date:  March 14\, 2023 \nLocation:  Molloy University\, Hagen Hall of Nursing\, Room 239 \nVideo Presentation: “The Road to Master Breeder”\, Tips and Techniques for Spawning Cichlids \nSpeaker:  Rick Borstein \nAbout the Speaker: \nRick Borstein is the Webmaster of the Greater Chicago Cichlid Association (GCCA)\, President of the Chicago Livebearer Society (CLS)\, and President of the Federation of American Aquarium Societies (FAAS). Rick was the Chairman of the successful 2006 American Cichlid Association Convention held in Chicago\, IL. Rick has spawned over 200 species of cichlids and is one of only ten people to hold the title of Master Breeder in the GCCA. Rick’s basement fish room has 32 tanks ranging in size from 5 gallons to 125 gallons. Rick is primarily interested in cichlids and livebearers. DESCRIPTION:They’re baaaaaack! \nThe Long Island Aquarium Society (LIAS) will hold its first meeting in over two years on Friday\, May 19th at the AMVETS Hall Post 48 in Lake Ronkonkoma which is only a little over a mile north of the expressway. The meeting will start at eight as usual\, but you should arrive earlier to settle in. We plan on having a Basket Raffle with some nice more oversized items and of course our regular raffle. Also\, a fish auction! We hope people will be bringing in fish that they have been breeding or that they want to auction to make room for new ones. \nThis will be a getting-to-know-each-other meeting—some fish friends we have not seen for quite some time.
