MAKA\, an affiliate club of the American Killifish Association\, is one of the oldest specialty aquarium associations in the United States. Organized in 1970\, the club’s active members include such well-known aquarists as Rosario LaCorte (Secretary)\, Lenny Mackowiak (President and former AKA New & Rare Species Committee Chairman)\, and George Slusarczuk (former editor of the AKA Journal). The Metropolitan Area Killifish Association meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
